OKSIDATIVNI STRES KOD GOJAZNE DECE-KAKO GA SPREČITI ILI SMANJITI?

Hipertofično masno tkivo je značajan izvor reaktivnih vrsta kiseonika (RVK) koji dovode do povećanja ekspresije adipokina i infiltracije inflamatornih ćelija. Ovi poslednji dalje sekretuju nove RVK čineći tako povratnu spregu između oksidativnog stresa i inflamacije u masnom tkivu, sa posledičnim promenama u signalnim putevima i brojnim poremećajima kao što su metabolički sindrom, diabetes mellitus tip 2, kardiovaskularne bolesti. Istraživanja pokazuju da promena životnih navika zasnovana na promeni načina ishrane, kao i povećana i redovna fizička aktivnost mogu dovesti do smanjenja oksidativnog stresa i inflamacije. Takođe, skorije studije pokazuju da suplementacija antioksidansima može popraviti antioksidantni status. U daljim redovima će biti reči o patofiziološkim mehanizmima gojaznošću indukovanog oksidativnog stresa kod dece i adolescenata, kao i strategiji u cilju smanjenja istog.
