Abstract

The increase of obesity prevalence in children and adolescents raises concerns about the parallel increase of obesity-associated asthma. During the last decade, differen authors investigated possible correlations between obesity and asthma and pointed to a complex multifactorial relationship. Many mechanisms can be involved in asthma obese fenotip in children including mechanical, inflammmatory, genetic, hormonal and immune factors.
