Giving advice about normal function and behaviour of a child with epilepsy is sometimes a special challenge in pediatric practice. Doctors often have dilemmas concerning approval of child’s sport activities or other school activities. On the other side, children that are physically active have better life quality among other pros. Since 2016 ILAE’s guidelines about physical activity in children with epilepsy, the answer to this dilemma is – it shouldn’t be a subjective decision of a doctor. We need to know the type of epilepsy, type and frequency of seizures. As always, the individual access is recommended and if the child is in the between zone of ILEA-s gudelines, the final decision should be left to the pediatric neurologist.
