Abstract

The last decade has been marked by the significantly elevated  prevalence of childhood obesity, as well as obesity related deseases, such as  diabetes mellitus , hypertension and hyperlipidemia. This is present both in developed and developing  countries.

Therefore the promotion of health lifestyle is paramount and it should be performed also by healthcare professionals, medical and education institutions aiming at preventing the obesity and obesity related deseases, affecting more and more children, adolescent and adults.
